Dexian Tang
Chief Technology Officer
Dexian is a software and distributed systems engineer. Before joining benshi, Dexian was a senior machine learning engineer at Inditex, the world's largest fashion retailing organization. He was responsible for the data infrastructure and architectural design of the AI platform, Zara Brain, which predicted customer behavior and optimized supply chains. Previously, he was the lead data engineer at Yokozuna Data in Tokyo, where he scaled legacy data pipelines – reducing the running time by more than 50% – and optimized the entire machine learning process for key customers in the video game industry. It was in this role that he worked with colleagues who are also at benshi today.
Dexian has held other backend developer positions at different companies. He also spent three years conducting cutting-edge research in electrical engineering at the Okada Lab, in the Tokyo Institute of Technology. His research on building ultra-low-power CMOS transceivers for applications related to the Internet of Things led to seven publications in international journals. He also received an Excellence Award from the IEICE Electronics Society for his work in this field.
Dexian holds a MEng in Electrical Engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, and a BEng from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.
