Robert Patterson
Board Member
Robert is a global senior executive with an extensive track record of producing revenue-driven results for large IT companies. He specializes in areas such as data and business analytics, security, cloud, and SaaS.
Currently he is the vice president of presales of SAS, the largest independent vendor in the business intelligence market. Previously, he was the senior director of presales and business development for Asia Pacific and Japan at Micro Focus, as well as the senior director of sales consulting for Oracle’s cloud platform and BI segments. Prior to that, for nearly 10 years, Robert was with IBM. There, he held executive roles, such as the acquisitions executive focusing on specialist presales acquisitions in Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa regions, and the global executive for technical sales and enablement of the company’s predictive analytics solutions. At IBM, he was also the vice-president of presales and training for then-SPSS. In addition, he has worked at SAP, StreamServe, and other software companies.
Beyond driving revenue, Robert's multiple roles have also required him to quickly build and lead teams, leveraging his technical and business acumen, and drawing upon his experiences in change management, enablement, and acquisitions.
